Woman’s day: The International Women’s Day is a holiday that wants to recall both the social political and economical achievements of women and the discriminations and violences that they are still subject to in many parts of the world.

The date of celebration was established by ‘UDI, Union of Italian Women, founded in Rome in 1944, which in 1945 decided to celebrate on the 8th of March the first Women’s day in the free areas of Italy. March 8, 1946 was celebrated throughout Italy and finally saw the first appearance of its symbol, the mimosa, which flourishes in those days.

Women’s Day in Torrazzetta becomes an occasion to spend in the company of their mothers, sisters, friends, but also of men, a different night, where to have fun and kick back and celebrate all together the characteristics that make each woman unique.
